Saint is a book that will have you guessing about reality from the first chapter. Just as Carl Strople is struggling to discover if what he believes is real so is the reader trying to “catch up” to what is truly going on. I liked this about the book because I was just as surprised as Carl was when he learned the truth about things.

Saint is a book that will have you guessing about reality from the first chapter. Just as Carl Strople is struggling to discover if what he believes is real so is the reader trying to “catch up” to what is truly going on. I liked this about the book because I was just as surprised as Carl was when he learned the truth about things. Trained as an assassin and tortured to endure more, Carl’s life is unlike any we know but after his training he is sent to kill the Iran defense minister Assim Feroz. Yet once Carl and Kelly, his handler, arrive in New York their mission is changed and now Carl is to kill the President of the United States. Upon leaving New York they run to Colorado to dig into Carl’s past and coming for Carl is another assassin, Englishman, who is not what he seems with powers even his masters are not aware of. The battle between Carl and Englishman is the classic battle between Good and Evil. This book was so captivating it held my attention and I had to force myself not to finish it too quickly.
