Review

Treason by Don Brown is a well crafted story about two JAG officers. Zack Brewer and Diane Colcernian have been rivals since law school yet team up in the court martial against three Navy chaplains accused of committing acts of terrorism. I loved that there was more to the story than just this one case. By seeing the inner workings of the court martial system within the Navy I felt better equipped to understand the big case at the end. It also added much more understanding to the rivalry between Zack and Diane. How this case ends up will keep you on pins and needles. The subject of integrity comes up big in this book. Which begs the questions, “How would you handle revealing information that could potentially ruin your case?” or “Would you switch political sides which would jeopardize your beliefs just to get your dream job?” The book was a great read and I would highly recommend it to others.
