She Who Watches begins with the disappearance of a senator's adult daughter and the search for the person behind the threatening letters being sent to the senator's office. Detective "Mac" McAlister and his partner, Dana Bennett assist the FBI in the interviews about the missing woman and a quick link to Native American tribal customs lead them to a nearby Indian Reservation. Having not read the other books in this series yet, I felt like I missed a bit of personal background with the detectives but not the other characters in the story. The twist in the end was quite random but overall, I thought the book was a good read.
