Uncharted begins by filling you in on the life of six college friends. After vowing to always stay in touch the years have gone on and life has moved these friends in different directions. One common thread that keeps them in touch once a year is the email from David Payne inviting them to join him on a mission trip in some remote location to "build something". Every year the others find some reason why they can't join him, this year as the trip is approaching they all get a call that David is tragically killed. Meeting again at the funeral, David's wife has a proposition to them all, to go on this upcoming trip to honor their friend. They all agree and upon leaving, their plane is diverted because of weather so they charter a boat to take them to the remote island. The boat is destroyed and the five friends find themselves on a deserted island. The longer the group stays on the island the more they believe that the island will not let them leave. The surprising twist was beyond what I expected.![]()
