is a wonderfully written thriller by Ted Dekker. I had never read Mr. Dekker before and was blown away by the ease of reading along with how well he captured me as a reader. Set in a Nazi Camp during World War II in 1943 and then jumping to 1973 you follow both story lines that converge so well in the end. Realistic characters draw you into their sorrow and anguish in the 40's as they are imprisoned by the Nazi's. Jump to the 70's with the words "groovy" and set among Los Angeles, you feel the laid-back attitude that this era invokes. The suspense was enough to keep me reading and the surprises near the end I never saw coming. I can honestly say one of the best books I have read recently.
