In this book, Remember, we focus on another member of the Baxter family, Ashley. Her past mistakes has sealed her decision to alienate herself from potential hurt but keeping her distance, from her family, her son, and the man that loves her. After taking a job at a local nursing home, Ashley finds the residents change her perception about what is important in life. She has genuine feelings for each person and strives to make their remaining time on earth meaningful and important to them and their families. The events of September 11 were written into this book and alter some of the character's lives. What I love most about the second book in this series is we get updates on everyone we came to love through the first book and there are so many loose ends that I will definitely be reading book three. These characters feel like real people with common issues that we can relate to. Honestly, this is one of the best series I've read in a long time.
