Matchstick

is a book geared for younger readers but its message can reach an audience of any age. This book is filled with timeless lessons about faith, friendships, and growing up. Larry is a sixth grade boy whose family has just moved because of hard times. Starting at a new school and trying to fit in, place Larry in a position that is new to him. Dealing with bullies and trying to work out these problem on his own without his parents help, finds Larry in several tight spots that test his character. As Larry's predicament places him in physical danger, he admits the strain he has been under at school and his decision impacts others in ways he never realized. I would recommend this book to anyone but see where it can impact a child or young adult who is struggling with peer pressure.
