Review

In this book, In His Arms, we encounter the last of the girls from Ellis Island, Mary Emeline Malone. Fleeing from New York because of a crime she believes she committed, Mary and her young son are not sure where they will go. Upon boarding a train to escape, Mary meets Blank Loraine, the owner of a saloon in a small town in Idaho. Blanch asks Mary to accompany her to Idaho and since Mary really has no other plans she accepts. To see the glimpses of Mary's desperation, the feeling that she is all alone, just her and her son, captivates the reader almost immediately. Watching the romance begin to develop between Mary and the town sheriff and seeing both of them fight it, keeps this book entertaining. As with books one and two in this series, Mary writes to and receives letters from her friends, Beth and Inga so the reader gets little updates in those stories with out this book having to be set there. This book is truly enjoyable with a sweet message that all can benefit from.
