The Prodigal is book number four in the Abram's Daughters Series by Beverly Lewis. This book wraps up a lot of questions conjured in the first three books; Sadie's baby, Leah and Jonas, and much more. I have fallen in love with these characters and find myself rooting for things to finally work out for some of them. The choices they face seem too much for one family to handle but as I sat and pondered this I began to look at my own life and think if I put several years into a few hundred pages what a tale I could tell. I don't believe all these issues are too much for a family of this size to put up with and am glad that some things worked out better than I ever thought they could for these characters. I read these books like watching a TV show, where I see what's happening and cannot wait for the next episode (or book in the series). I hope that you can capture the image of these characters for yourself and marvel in their strengths and weaknesses.
