Ed Young does not lead us in a selfish, worldly way to this discovery but rather has us looking for who God created us to be. Issues like self-esteem, baggage from the past and the endless cycles we can find ourselves in today of comparison about style, status and success are all sorted out in this book. I think it is something you can read to examine things in your life but there is a good section about how to build up the self-esteem of those around us. I felt the book was very easy to read with entertaining stories (especially the one about the Burger King Crown). The study/discussion guide is a great tool to take this book further. With referral back to the book and then forward to get you into God's Word and see for yourself what God has to say on these topics. What a wonderful way to make this book really make a difference for us in our lives if we'll take it to this next step.
