Review

In My Heart's Cry, gifted Bible teacher Anne Graham Lotz exhorts reader to share her passion for more of Jesus. Using scenes from John's Gospel of the Upper Room, she allows the reader insight to Jesus interaction with His disciples. The exceptional portrayal of these events caused me to examine their application in my life. With unique parallels, Anne relates, among others, "More of His Dirt on my hands", to our responsibility for service. In this chapter, she states, "And if we want more blessing, then what we are really asking for is more of Jesus. And in order to get more of Jesus, you must - it's not an option - you must have this dirt on your hands." This is just one example of twelve pursuits set out for Christians to seek more of Jesus in their lives. Other chapters include, "More of His tears on my face", "More of His courage in my convictions", and "More of His love in my home". My daily quiet time was enriched by using this book. I would recommend this for any Christian longing for more of Jesus in their lives.
